Got myself a little urban campus farming spot for the next summer. I thought it would be cool side project to set up some kind of bot to monitor soil moisture, soil temperature, light level etc. and have wireless access to it. So I googled through some tutorials but all of them seemed to be lacking in one way or another for my purposes and I wasn't able to figure out which one I would take as starting point for me.Anyone have any good guides to recommend for my skill level? What I already can doI can use solder and I've put together electronics with good visual step by step guides. For example I have built my keyboard from custom kit.Software side of electronics usually shouldn't be a problem if there's decent documentation where to start from. I'm a web developer myself, so I'm usually not working this close to hardware but I can manage :DWhere I have troublesWhich hardware to choose as a starting point? Arduino, Rasberry Pi or something else?I don't understand wiring diagrams. Should I learn? Or is there some guide with good visual instructions? What parts to buy? Right now I would need a detailed shopping list.Any help is appreciated. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2pGjniU
