I see many posts about people who love their Costco membership for things like cheap eye exams or "just for the hot dogs and pizza". But you actually don't need a membership for these things, along with buying alcohol (in some states), getting immunization shots, or shopping on Costco.com. You can also shop there sans membership with a gift card as long as someone with a membership buys it.
