Two days ago I had a score of 507 (never had a credit card before) after applying for and being denied from Ally. (Was denied both their credit card and banking) so I applied for capital one for banking and was approved.
After that I went looking for good cards for people will low/no credit. Applied for the Capital One Secured MasterCard, Discover it Secured Card, and the Capital One Platinum. Was denied on the spot for all three. At that point, I just gave up.
Two days later, however, I get an email containing a letter why I was denied from Capital One. It was because I had limited credit history. They attached my score, and it was a 577 instead of a 507.
I'm so confused at this point I don't think it's even worth it anymore. I really don't care what kind of credit card I get because I will pay it off in full regardless every month, no exceptions, although I'd like something nice.
Might just hold off on getting a card at the moment. I don't know, Any ideas?
