I know there are few of these threads, but I'm curious as what people use to save them money that aren't as obvious as a coffee maker or water filter.

Rechargeable Batteries - if you can pick these up on sale you can very quickly make up your cost. My headphones take a triple A and lasts about 20 hours, or less when I forget to turn them off. This has been a game changer.

Winemaking Equipment - I spent about $100 on the basic equipment, then added some other equipment (corker, extra fermenter, etc) for another $100. You can buy a prepackaged kit which makes about 26 gallons with grape juice for about $80. After two batches I made about 52 bottles of quality wine. With some additional costs (bottles, labels, etc) it comes to about $8/bottle and cheaper with each additional kit. Plus, it's a fun hobby.

Sodastream Concentrate - I'm an energy drink addict. It didn't make sense to buy a soda stream, but I did realize that if I bought generic soda water for about 60 cents, and a bottle of concentrate for $5, I end up saving a ton of money, and it tastes exactly like Redbull to me.
