The requirements are a certain amount of hours or 21 and over and you don't have to worry about it because it doesn't apply. I am 20, I graduated when I was 17. I don't have enough hours to meet those requirements so the housing charge and meal plan were automatically applied.

The exceptions are living with a parent/guardian within 50 miles of the university, or health reasons. I live 53 miles away based on google maps (which is what they use despite the policy online saying mapquest). I turn 21 this year.

I submitted the waiver and it was denied and so was my appeal. The housing/meal plan they are charging me for costs more than my tuition and I haven't used a single meal swipe or lived here at all. I have one more appeal option and I can't afford for this one to be denied. I don't know what to do, and it's really upsetting that the school wants me to pay double the amount for amenities I'm not using just because I don't meet a few requirements.

Does anyone have any idea of something I can do for recourse? I'm freaking out, I can't pay for this and if it's still an outstanding balance this summer I can't schedule fall classes.
