I am doing my own tax returns for the first time this year, but my parents want to claim me as a dependent (and I qualify for being their dependent even though I made well over 6300 dollars). However, in November of last year I got married and I haven't told my parents yet because I don't want them to know. Looking into the tax documents it seems like I have to put my status as married but filling separately. My question is, if I fill out this tax return and my parents claim me as a dependent will they get a receipt of my tax return and see that I am married?
