I've just been told I owe over £200 to my employer because I am leaving before having worked there for a full year but have taken a years worth of holiday. Is this right?

So on my final shift I was hit with this. Apparently this will come out of my final wage slip and there's not much I can do about it. I was never informed of this system that allows you to take more holiday than you have earned?
