My grandma is tired of paying $170 a month for the cable company's bundle. She's ready to get rid of the home phone and she's willing to give up cable if she can replace it with something similar enough. She's against Netflix/Hulu only because she likes to channel surf sometimes and wants local news/channels still. Is Sling TV or a similar service a good idea in this case? Do you have any experiences with it that you'd like to share? If there's a better subreddit to post this in please let me know.
