I'm not really sure of the best place to ask, so I figured this would be a good starting point, but feel free to direct me to more appropriate subs if you know of any.
Basically, I'm really looking into reining in my spending substantially this year and one thing I'd like to avoid is buying off-the-shelf cards for birthdays, etc. Now I'm not trying to skimp here, rather I want to go the more traditional route of handwriting letters, or at least writing simple cards, perhaps on personalized stationery, or at least something nice (i.e. not notebook paper), but putting in more effort and personalization than just picking one of the "limited" corporate pre-made options.
Any suggestions on where to find good quality stationery, personalized or not, and perhaps resources on how to really step up my game with this more traditional approach? (Working in IT and with computers as much as I do, my penmanship has greatly suffered and is something I need tremendous practice on rehabilitating.)
