So. I've come to the conclusion that, like many of you, I have far too many things and in other aspects of my life I need discipline. I want to start out getting disciplined.

So my first set of goals for the month of January is to try and get rid of 30 things. I realize that's not a lot, but I feel like one item a day is a decent start (especially considering I live with my Grandma at the moment). On top of that I want to drastically reduce my wardrobe. I have a very small (3 drawer) dresser and a three shelves. I already wear most of my clothes until I literally cannot use them anymore (it drives my mom insane that I have a few shirts that I've worn since I was 19 and that I am 26 now), but I want less.

I want to start reading through here and some blogs to see how other people did it.

But I guess I also want to know how you all started. Did you plan your minimalist journey? Or just start some day? How has it gone for you?
