Did some searching, and found recommendations either for models out of production, or recommendations against CrockPot brand.
I'm looking for a large/family size slow cooker, with a removable insert, that will reliably hold up to years of weekly use.
Current model, a Hamilton Beach 33964T is terrible. First, each change of the electronic settings releases a loud, shrill electronic beep that scares the whole office, or wakes the whole house. Next, after only a few years, the membrane over the electronic buttons, is cracking and crumbling.
Ideas? I won't say "money no object" but for something I plan to use regularly and keep, I'd happily pay a few hundred bucks.
I've been looking at thrift shops, but really only find the small "fondue pot" sized ones.
