So, I recently signed on for a job in NYC paying 75K with a 7K starting bonus. I would most likely start in August after I finish school, the problem is that I would not have enough cash for a security deposit for an apartment before I move. I do not know, but I would assume that it would be first and last month for a deposit. Even though I would spend 25% of my income or less on rent, I would not have the cash before work to pay for the deposit. Are there options besides asking family or borrowing against my signing bonus?
