It's finally hitting me that I spend a lot of unnecessary money as a college student. I'm trying to change that this year but would you look at that: My computer is on its last leg. It was a cheap computer ($300ish) so I'm not pressed but I also don't have another $300 to put into a computer and the time and money to buy a new hard drive is going to be damn near the same price as a new one.

With that said, what options do I have? I see refurbished laptops for about $160 on Groupon but do refurbished electronics last a bit of time?

If you all do think I should just buy a hard drive (someone has suggested this), what's the cheapest way to have someone install it while also ensuring they know what they're doing?

Thanks.
