I am going to switch from a managed broker to IBKR.
Since i can not use a transfer of assets directly (specialized funds that are blocked for this service by my current asset manager, hence the switching), how would you go about this?
Selling, transfering cash, setteling cash and buying will take about a week of being out of the market.
Would you do it all at once (3 million) or in parts, and if so, when would you do it? I waited for the election to finish first since my thinking is i want to do this in a low volatile environment.
