Hello,
I would like to begin investing $10,000 annually in medium-high risk investments, hoping to earn 12%+ as a goal (if possible). I'm just not sure where to begin. I am a data analyst by trade, I'm familiar looking at data and reading charts, but I'm new to actually taking the step in investing. I have my 401k completely managed by fidelity, and use that as my low-medium risk investing. But I would like to personally invest my person investment funds in higher risk stuff so my savings aren't just sitting in my bank account. Once I get to about 100-200k, I'd like to begin using my investment portfolio to expand in to personal real estate investments, such as rentals.
I'm not sure if I should just invest in highly rated mutual funds that have performed well for 5+ years, or if I should look into individual companies on my own, such as INVIDIA, Amazon, MAANG companies, etc., and set my own stop losses, etc., or if I should take another route?
Any advice is appreciated!
