I work (in a ‘low’ position) at one of the largest mutual fund companies in the U.S. Our CEO will be coming to our office next week, and I was told he may be spending some time in an office on my floor, not far from where I sit. (The company culture (at least in the office I’m in) is to not have fancy corner offices for leadership, hence why the CEO may temporarily sit not far from me when he visits our office next week.

There’s a chance I may bump into him at some point (while walking around, such as in the break room/kitchen area or even the bathroom haha), and if so, I’d love to say a quick hello and thank him for his recent company-wide communications and leadership style. But part of me would also like to use the potential brief time (if it happens) to ask at least one fund/investment/market related question. Bear in mind that while he’s very ‘in the know’ with regard to the financial markets etc, he’s not one of the portfolio managers.

Having said all that, the reason why I’m posting this is because I’d like to know what question YOU would ask, if given chance to speak the CEO of a very large (privately held) mutual fund company for a brief minute or two.

Forgive me if this investing subreddit isn’t the most appropriate place to ask such a question.

Thanks in advance!
