Is there any research into a correlation between what appears to be the increased pace of investments from younger generations and the fact that the stock market doesn't seem to want to drop when many expect it to?
I have seen a couple articles in the last year indicating that younger generations have gotten a much earlier start on 401ks/investing than previous generations and I was wondering if that extra money earlier in the generational cycle of people putting money in versus pulling it out to retire would be something that has enough impact to offset what would normally be a slump/downturn.
