I’m lost on what to do I’m 22 years old and my wife and I have 2 kids. The house is perfect size. He passed away about a month and a half ago and I found out I couldn’t just continue to make payments that I would have to assume the mortgage. I lived with my grandpa the majority of my life and this is my childhood home. I don’t know if I can qualify for a mortgage to pay off what is left. He owes 100k left on the home and I could put 40k up today and say plz just trust me I can pay the rest. But that isn’t how it works ofc. I have been living here since before he passed away so now I feel like we are literally going to be uprooted from our family home.
