Hi, I'm 20. I work at walmart and make $2,240 a month. I don't know a lot about credit. I have an Amazon credit card and have only made two purchases on it. I don't know how to check my credit score if i have one. My dad told me i cant get a car without good credit. i can afford a car but i dont think i have enough credit to get one. i dont understand why a dumb number prevents people to get certain things if they already have good money coming in monthly. my father cannot co-sign for me because he said his credit is too low. my mother isn't in the picture so she can't either. i can't use my fathers car because he needs it for work and we have different shifts. i would like to save a bit more money without spending hundreds of dollars on Uber. what do i do? where do i start? can i get a Brand New regular basic car or do i have to get a used one? my intention isnt to be spoiled. id just rather a brand new car because i would have longer time with the car before i have to pay for major mechanic problems for the car.
