Opening Roth IRA right now
I’m trying to open a Roth IRA on my broker but they won’t let me contribute to 2023, only 2024. There’s over an hour left before the day is over so I guess they must on Eastern time? Are there any brokers/banks that run on pacific time? If I can’t contribute for 2023 right now there’s no point I think since I’ll be reminded of it every time I open the Roth IRA. I normally invest in stocks but I found out you can do that through the Roth IRA too? Not sure what the point is in regular investing… thanks for any help
