Hi everyone,

My wife and I are doing well. Combined Net worth around $850k at age 32. I feel pretty savvy with personal finance and we make a good salary. My wife is aware of the finances, but I do most of the work.

We bought a house this year and had a kid, and my wife is considering to stop working. I know we can afford to live on my salary and continue saving 15+%, but, these things have added some financial uncertainty which we are not used to.

Lately I find myself checking my accounts many times each day. Especially when the markets are going up. I think it’s a major dopamine addiction. I’m also running retirement, mortgage, savings calculations way too often, when obviously nothing is changing.

Any advice on how to get out of this cycle? I don’t think it is good for me.
