I (26M) live at home with my parents and two siblings. I have my own pretty big sized room but my parents said I should think about taking the fully furnished basement to have my own space. However than want $900 for it.
Currently my only bills I help out with equals up to $300 (Besides my own exlenses). They said If I stay in my room, they'll look for someone to rent it because we don't use it. I'm a cheap person and any extra money either goes towards savings to eventually buy a house or vacations. I typically bring in a little over $3k a month. Would it be wise to use my money and take the space?
