Should I carry higher liability limits or get $1000 deductible collision?

I drive a beater that could be viewed as $4000-5000 to an insurance company. Which one would you guys say is better? Drop my $50,000 limits to 25,000 or drive with 25,000 limits and $1000 deductible collision?
