After calculating bills, subscriptions, student debt payments and 15% into savings....I came out to $1000 a month to myself (excluding groceries, but its just me and I don't spend more than 200 on groceries a month. So more like $800-$900 to myself)
Am I living outside of my means?
Also I’m in the Bay Area California. I moved here from New Mexico for better job opportunities and growth. Went from $24 an hour in Albuquerque to $40 an hour in the bay, without a bachelors.And now learning some engineering skills from work and getting tuition reimbursement.
I did look a while for apartments under $2000 but didn’t like the smaller sizes or locations closer to potential crime. I do like my family to visit and would like to give them a spacier apartment
