I had some dental work done to remove my wisdom teeth. The office were I got them removed took our insurance and we actually had to wait to do the surgery until our insurance covered it and we paid in full before even scheduling the appointment. All was done, we paid our bill, then I had the surgery. I asked if everything was good before leaving afterwards and they said I was all good to go. Here I am, almost a year later, and suddenly the office is saying I have an outstanding bill of 110$ because our insurance didn't cover it all. That makes no sense because we had to wait for insurance, and pay before even doing the procedure so how can they charge me now, almost a year later?
My husband told me to ignore the office and let it go to collections, and it has. They've only emailed me one time, but I'm wondering, can i be sued or arrested for ignoring this random 110$ bill they added?
