Hello, I'm 16 and I've just saved up $4000 and was wondering if it was worth investing at this age. I've gotten mixed responses and I'm not sure if I should.
People have told me how the money that I've saved up will be insignificant by the time I'm older and that I should instead spend the money on what I want and to enjoy myself whilst still being young. If I was to spend money I would spend around $2000 on my computer and setup so I could 3D edit for film creation and video editing, but also just so I can run games better. I already have a car getting handed down to me so I don't need to worry about that.
So my question was if it would be worth investing this money now or should I just spend it on what I want?
Also was wondering what would be the Australian equivalent to VTSAX as that's what I would invest in
