I'm currently invested in Betterment (roboadvisor) for both my Roth and Brokerage. The issue with Betterment is that it has preset portfolios, making both investments very similar. Would you advise me to change the strategy for one of them to a more simple breakdown?
Current Betterment Portfolio holding: VTI (34%), Emerging Markets (14%), Developed Markets (23%), Large Cap (VTV), Small Cap (VBR), Mid Cap (VOE), and 10% bonds
My suggested approach 1: VOO (44%), Small Cap VBR (20%), IWF Russel 1000 (14%), Developed Markets (5%), in addition to Mid Cap (10%), REIT VNQ (6%)
My suggested approach 2: The famous three-fund portfolio: VTSAX, VTIAX, VBLTX
