I can’t seem to get ahead of it. I have a good paying job but I’m not happy where I’m located and my job, etc, and my credit card debt has me trapped here and in this job.

I make about $160k, and have about $21k in credit card debt. I have a car payment that is also high because of some “fancy financial footwork” on a previous vehicle I wanted but couldn’t afford, as well as the other typical payments like internet and phone, etc.

I have about $10k in savings and $1,800 in my checking and I can’t seem to increase either balance because I keep throwing wads of cash at credit cards or have random expenses (vehicle or home related) pop up whenever I start gaining traction.

I cannot withdraw from my 401(k) at all, and I have no personal stock portfolio as I cleared that to buy my house.

I am considering draining my savings to about $4k and throwing it at my higher rate balances just to eliminate some of the monthly balances coming out of my income.

I would like to see if anyone has any other suggestions because I’m very concerned about having less than 2 months of expenses saved, although I’m right on the edge of only having 2 months right now because of my credit cards as it is… and please spare the judgement, the irony of being in the top top top class and still struggling financially is not lost on me and as you may imagine I’m quite stressed.
