A family member wants to know my plan if I were to inherit money from them. I have to write a brief statement on how I will handle this. I know this is vague, but wanted to see what others might suggest. First, I already own my home( w a mortgage) and have two cars, one with a loan. That’s my debt. I would not pay off the debt, since the interest rates are low. Initially I would invest the money in a high yield money market fund. I don’t think this answer will be good enough for them.
