My contributions to my 401k including employer contributions is a little over 8,000 since starting it over a year ago. (May of 2022 to be exact) That’s according to the balance sheet my employer keeps giving me after pestering them for the past year, but my balance when I check on Ascensus/PAI/whatever the hell it’s call only shows a balance of .94 cents. It used to show $20 but that’s the balance now after “access” fees after checking too much I guess 🤷🏻♂️. Every time I bring the issue up with my employer’s HR lady. They blame it on the previous HR lady despite me starting my contributions with the current HR lady, they claim she messed something up and the current lady is cleaning up her mess. Like how long does that shit take. I’ve been bugging them for months. “Why does my balance not reflect correctly?” Etc etc. Am I too paranoid? Should I voice my concerns louder? When I bring up the issue to my supervisor he jokingly replies with “you see that shiny new ______, they used your 401k for it” Like that’s my money asshole.
