Regardless of tax considerations, how do you manage your unrealized gains, especially on ETFs (like QQQ for example) ?
I've already been burnt in 2021-2022, "losing" all those potential gains when the market dipped and was wondering what is the best practice (incl. what kind of orders) to follow in order to secure some of those, as greed is the real killer.
Are you doing partial sells, trailing orders, stop loss at your cost average, setting a target and then closing the position, nothing or something else ?
