Hello r/investing. Very naive question here but I know there are a lot of experienced folks on this forum.
I'm curious about the business model of these regional banks that keep collapsing - how do these sorts of banks typically earn money? And how do regional banks differ from "other" types of banks like commercial, community, etc. in terms of busines activities? Under what economic conditions do regional banks prosper? And finally, what metrics should investors look at when looking to add regional banks to their portfolios?
Thanks for any insights you may have.
