I reached out to a listing agent to buy a piece of property in Missoula, MT. She was super helpful at first, not the most responsive but usually heard back within a day or two. I made an offer on the property. It was 18% below the ask price. I explained that it was the most I could offer because of the down payment requirements (30% for a land loan). She said she would present the offer and then get back to me. Since then she has ghosted me. I've reached out twice by email and once by text since the offer two weeks ago.....no response. Furthermore, she has been active on her Facebook Promo page so I know she didn't have a health emergency or anything. The real frustrating thing is that Im working on a HELOC on my current home to raise some cash to meet the down-payment requirements of the ask price and would like to communicate this to the seller, but with her not communicating I don't have a way to do this. Finally, by all accounts on google searches, she seems very highly rated so this feels like its very deliberate. Not having dealt with a real estate agent in Missoula before, is this common or not? I am starting to take it personally.
