My girlfriend and I are moving and buying a 300k home in Dallas. She has 40k in savings, I have 30k. She’s adamant about her money being HER money and my money being our money. I currently pay for all the bills and that’s how she would like it once we move into our new house. Tbh I don’t care about her money cause I’m pretty independent and can pay for everything on my own. The only impact would be on her standards of living, as in, I probably won’t be able to take her on dates as often or pay for her hair all the time. We’re almost at closing date on the house and she hasn’t offered to contribute a single dollar towards the down payment or anything else. Obviously both of us contributing would benefit both of us in the long run, but nah, not a penny from her.So I decided that the title would only be in my name. She seems to be upset though she hasn’t explicitly stated that. Am i wrong for doing that?
