I usually am pretty frugal. But I recently have experienced some things in life where I am starting to question how frugal I am being. I have been able to save over 200k savings fund apart from retirement over the last 2 years. Rarely went out during COVID. I was just passed up for a promotion at work for not talking “strategically” enough with my manager. Everyone else on my team got promoted while my metrics where the 2nd best on the team. I received a measly 2.5 % raise. They also just recently announced that we will be returning to office twice a week.

I am realizing that time is out most valuable resource. I have saved more than 3-4 years living expenses. Wondering if I need to stop saving 80% of my income and take some time to travel?

Would this be wise? I am only 27 years old.

Please feel free to share any advice or thoughts or if you have also recently started to question how frugal you are being. What is the ultimate goal of your frugality?
