I was having a debate with a friend and realized I can’t find any answers online. I’ll give an example: If I set a limit order to sell a stock at $15 per share over night, and the stock opens at $17, will my shares sell at $15 or $17? Do you only lock in asymmetric downside by setting a limit order overnight?
