Previously the FBI stated there was "moderate confidence" that Covid had originated from a lab in China, and now the Dept of Energy stated with "Low" confidence the same. Whether it did or not, what will happen if some law firms open up a trillion dollar class action suit against China? Saudi Arabia was sued after 9/11, Iran has been sued for terrorist acts, and with so much money on the table it seems very plausible that a suit is brought against China. What would the implications be? They'd never pay it, and it could drive a bigger wedge between China and the west. Western investments in China could be at risk, and any Chinese money in the west could be under threat of seizure. Is this a potential scenario?
