Hi guys. My situation is a bit complicated, but I've summarized my question in the title. I would really appreciate if you could help me out.

Basically my dad got cancer, we have no income now as a household. My parents are not the most tech savvy or financially literate. They have a considerable amount of money just sitting in the bank. I am currently in university studying engineering. So I do not have time to work unfortunately, but I will be doing a paid internship very soon.

Anyway, I've discovered investing a year ago. I've been trying to learn as much as possible ever since then. I believe that when the effects of the fed's interest rate hikes fully appear, it will be an extremely good opportunity to invest, so maybe in 6-12 months from now.

This is my parent's money. I am taking on a lot of responsibility and risk here. What should I do to minimize the risk? And what Index funds/ETF's should we Invest in? When do you think we should start DCA'ing into the market? How much of their Networth should be invested?

If you took the time to read this, I really genuinely appreciate it. Any advice is welcome and appreciated. Thank you
