Quick question guys, So I'm a server in the North east, minimum wage for servers is 5.13 an hour. I do not receive any paychecks, I only receive my tips for each given night all in cash regardless if they were credit card tips or not. The hourly wage all goes to "taxes", and when I was hired they received my ss number and drivers license. My manager said they do it this way so that they take more of a burden from "uncle sam" but gonna be honest that sounds like some bullshit. If anyone can enlighten me please do.
