Hi! I made this post > 3 years ago seeking help with some serious credit card debt at 21.
I'm hoping this post can potentially help someone see a light at the end of the tunnel.
I ended up filing for bankruptcy in 2019 and it was the best thing I could've done.
I am now 25 and in control of my finances. I opened a business in 2021 and have been thriving ever since. I finished school (both trade and university) and my credit has rebounded immensely. I was diagnosed with bipolar about 6 months after this and finally understood where this intense pull to spend spend spend was coming from. Ever since I started treatment for this, my life is brand new.
If you're in a similar position- you got this!!!
