(That is the question) Going to try to keep this as simple as possible to explain my situation/dilemma. I’m contemplating whether or not I should buy a house next year or just continue renting.
My plan is to buy a house next year, it would be with the VA loan, the reason why I’m waiting is because I’m in the process of eliminating some debts and improving my credit score while also hitting my two-year mark at my job in order to qualify for the VA loan. I likely will not use a down payment, and my credit would probably be somewhere from 620-650. And after I get the house I would be leaving my job to get a position in my intended career path.
Adversely if I don’t buy a house I would get a job sooner in my intended field (likely higher paying) and would continue renting.
So my question is: Is it better to wait, buy a house for the rate I would get now with my current situation? Or is it better to wait, get established in my new job and buy a house later on down the road?
(Hope this makes sense, if I need to clarify anything I’d be glad to, and thanks for any advice!)
