I (24f) am trying to move out of my parent's house. My mom is an alcoholic and emotionally abusive, and I need to get out. I found a good 1 bdrm apartment for $725 and just got hired at $20/hr full time. I also have a little dog, so the rent goes up $35/month. I have an interview for a 2nd part time job at a tutoring center that I'm hoping to make $200/month extra to keep paying for my horseback riding lessons- the only hobby I have that costs regular money. I also babysit once a week, sometimes more, and usually bring in at least $200/month from that. I lived at home while going to college, so I've never been on my own for longer than a month while housesitting. Any tips on saving money? I have all the furniture I need from when my grandparents died, as well as plates/cups/bowls and a good set of pots and pans from a family friend, so I won't have to buy any of that. Thank you!
