I'm >40Y with 2 banks accounts and 2 Credit cards. I'm trying to understand "where all my money go" and I need a bit of theory about how to do it.
I categorised all the transactions of the last 5 years but some transactions I'm not sure how to consider them.
- bank transfer from one account to another (for saving). These aren't either "expense" or "income"
- credit cards: This is a single monthly transaction, but includes everything, making it hard to categorise.
- Online payment providers (paypal) : I hate them now. They shows up on my bank account without any additional description making impossible to add a category.
