Long story short, I’m 41, single, no kids. Recently started talking to a financial advisor (northwestern mutual) just because, while I’ve done decent for myself in terms of life savings, retirement savings, etc., I don’t really feel very savvy about it all and felt talking to a professional might help.

Anyway, I’m in a whole life life insurance policy now. It’s been a few months. And while I thought I understood things well enough at the time, the more research I do on this now, the more I feel uneasy about it. My policy is $250K, and annual premium is $5,447. It’s a pretty significant monthly payment. But the more I read here, the more I feel like this was not a good decision. What should my next steps be?
