My sister is having a rough time financially and she needs help. She’s financially illiterate and refuses to talk to me about her finances. Who can she talk to that could break down her income and expenses and help her get on track?
She owns a therapy business which doesn’t make enough to pay her bills/expenses. I believe she owes close to $200k in student loans. This year she has been diagnosed with MS and took on a lot of medical bills. Her cat was also sick and treatment cost around 8k. I’m guessing her credit cards are maxed.
She just told me she has “given up” on her bills and was expecting collection letters from her lenders. She won’t talk with me about her finances and I’m concerned for her future. Who can I refer her to?
