I am pretty sure I am not being paid the proper OT rate. But I keep hearing they use a special excel sheet calculation thing. If it is anything other than my hours times my rate then that doesn't make sense to me. Also, my timecard adds it up correctly (in my opinion), and then it changes to my paycheck. Although in this particular example the OT 10 is right but the OT 15 is wrong.. (OT 10% night week, OT 15% night weekend). Is there any possible reason I am wrong? They are taking forever to respond to me and I'm trying not to come in on my day off to talk to them (I'm night shift) especially if there's a chance I could be wrong. Thanks in advance.
Example Timecard:
Earnings | rate | hours | this period |
---|---|---|---|
regular | 50 | 24.75 | 1,237.50 |
holiday | 50 | 8 | 400.00 |
WKND 10 | 55 | 36.50 | 2,007.50 |
WKND 15 | 57.5 | 3.25 | 186.88 |
W10OT (this seems right to me but I've also seen it 50 before on another paycheck, doesn't make sense to me why it would be different on another one) | 82.50 | .75 | 61.88 |
W15OT (doesn't make sense why I'd be getting my base rate instead of time and a half) | 50 | 8 | 400 |
