Alright I fucked up.
Edit - 21M in SF, California.
Got into a big financial pit. During COVID, I had a few medical issues, I wasn’t sure of what to do to take care of the medical bills and didn’t have anyone to ask, so I took a 14k personal loan and paid it all off. 12.5k remain, 8% interest.
Rent is 1,730. I’m not able to buyout, I have $89 in my savings, $1,100 in my checking, getting paid Friday, rent due on the 27th.
I’m working from 4am-1pm (26/hr) and just got hired onto another part time job at a mechanic shop from 2pm-8pm (18/hr). I start that tomorrow. My first full 2 week paycheck from the 4am job will be this Friday.
Bills come out to about 3,000 a month, including everything. I’ve cut costs where I can, no streaming subscriptions, living off rice and beans. I eat once a day lol.
Cant get a roommate, live in a studio, just signed a 13 month lease, on month 3.
Needing advice on what to do. I’ve cut every cost I see I reasonably can, even the uncomfortable ones. I barely use electricity, I barely use water. I have a $10/month gym membership that I plan to start showering at and charging my phone and stuff.
Just not sure what else I can do, or where to start.
Total debt- 12.5k in personal loan at 8%
6k in cc’s, spread across 4 different cards. Highest being 3k on one.
Just can’t get in control, I’m living uncomfortable so I can try to make it work, car is shitting on me and I will have to use my cc to replace radiator and heater core within the next 2 weeks.
Any feedback or criticism is appreciated.
