My gf and I had been together for a while, and towards the end of our relationship we started sharing more of our finances together. She had a horrible spending habit and never met her bills, so I tried to help her whenever I could. I was in love, I couldn’t help it, even if it was stupid. I co-signed on a personal loan with her to help her pay down her debt, and she already has accrued all of that debt back. Her and I are both on a car loan together, with me as the main signer, but she made payments on it because it was “her car”. (I have a car of my own) So now that we are broken up I have to make the payments on both the personal loan and the car because she will not do it. I feel so dumb, and I don’t know what to do. I work 40+ hrs a week and go to school, so I can’t work any more, otherwise I would. Any advice y’all, am I screwed?
