My boyfriend made a single deposit to his Lending Club online savings account of $1500 from his Chase checking account. LC mistakenly and without authorization debited this single transaction 3 times ($4500), taking all of his money and causing his checking account to go in to the negative. He called LC and they’re trying to blame Chase even though it clearly states that LC initiated this transaction. Chase can’t do anything about it. They told my boyfriend to file a dispute. Has anyone ever experienced this? Is there anything that can be done ?
