Do indexes publish their current stock holdings and weightings? I can only find it for the big obvious ones like the DJIA. I guess it makes sense to protect that proprietary information, but I was hoping I could find a source that provides a current list stocks for each category.
I need a wide array of data for countries, GIC's, commodities. I suppose I can use ETF data (I believe they have to publish their current holdings every day), but I'm not sure if I can find an ETF for every index.
